Ladyhawk + Waterblues pics

For all who missed last weekend's throw down at My Hero with Ladyhawk and Waterblues.... I feel for you. Things got a little rowdy during the hawk's set resulting in shredded mic cables and broken pedals (sorry darcy) but I think we'd all agree they were welcomed losses. Here are some photos to jog the drunken memories of those who were there and to make the rest of you wish you were.

Major thanks to Michelle and Sarah for being the coolest girls in town and for those who did merch and door. You guys are awesome!

Good times at My Hero

Ladyhawk in Montreal at MY HERO GALLERY - MARCH 30th

Ladyhawk will be playing in Montreal on March 30th with WATERBLUES and Hi, Lonely Oak. Waterblues is the work of Adam Fiore who is the brilliant mind responsible for vocals, lap steel, and guitar in People for Audio. Hi, Lonely Oak is Neil Holyoak, the younger brother of my friend Jim whose art graces the heading of this post. Jim is also volunteering his great artistry to create the poster for this show which will be up shortly. It's all taking place at MY HERO GALLERY which is a non-profit oriented gallery and living space on st-laurent around pine street. It's operated by Sarah and Michelle who are both awesome people keeping the fight alive!

PEOPLE FOR AUDIO

PFA's new record ' The New Ancients' has been sent off for pressing. That means they'll be out real soon-like. We'll be accepting pre-orders via the shop section of the website shortly... within the next day or two (or whenever one of us (namely me) gets his lazy ass to update the site). you can go stream the whole album here: www.peopleforaudio.com or download an MP3 of the track, "Black Memory White Whale".

bloggin

if you're here reading this you can see that we've set up a blogging device here on the website. partly because it just seems so much less formal than the regular website news section and more enticing to keep up to date. why? i really don't know. we'll see if it actually works. ....
